Better spotlight searches
Spotlight (on Leopard Macs) allows for the boolean operators to be used in the searches: AND, OR, NOT. Using these operators, you can greatly reduce the number of results you get back and home in what you are really looking for. The key to using them is to remember that all of the letters in the boolean operator have to be capitalized. Otherwise they'll end up as part of the search criteria themselves.
