Missing CVS after trying to install iPhone SDK
I recently tried to install the iPhone SDK on my Mac. It failed. It kept telling me that it could not validate the package. Despite my attempts to install it by skipping the validation, it still failed.
The scary thing is that when it fails it leaves you Mac in some intermediate state. After it failed, I no longer had CVS on my Mac. When I tried to run CVS I got an error that said:
Ugh.
I still haven't figured out how to get the iPhone SDK to install. But I did figure out how to get CVS back (sadly TimeMachine does not seem to work on this directory since it doesn't show up in the Finder). Just get your handy Leopard install disk and put it in. Go to Optional Installs > Xcode Tool and run the XCodeTools package installer. It'll put CVS back in place.
