Some Starwood hotels have use internet a buggy internet access system that enables you to get free internet access. Basically, when you click the accept button, you get transferred to a processing page. As soon as the processing page loads, go to another website. Typically, I just hit the home button.

That prevents the processing from finishing and your account doesn't get charged. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but often enough where it's worth trying. I've done it at the Sheraton in downtown Chicago and a few other locations.
