Get rid of pop-up block notifications in Firefox
Someone created a tip that described how to block the pop-up notifications you get every time Chrome blocks a pop-up here: http://www.tipstrs.com/tip/5732/pop-up-blocking-notifications-in-Google-Chrome.
Firefox suffers from the same issue, every time a pop-up is blocked you get a bar at the top of the browser window telling you about it. If you want to get rid of this notification in Firefox, you can. Here's how.
Type about:config in the address bar of Firefox and then find the preference called privacy.popups.showBrowserMessage (either search for it or scroll down to it). Double click on this entry to change the value from true to false.
That's all there is to it. Once you do this Firefox will no longer notify you when it is blocking a pop-up.
