Save energy with the dishwasher

One way to save energy in the kitchen is by using the energy conservation settings on your dishwasher. Some dishwashers label this explicitly. Others you have to figure it out by turning off the options that use extra energy. Heating the water for the dishwasher takes a lot of energy, so turn this option off if you have it. Also using a heated dry cycle takes a lot of energy, it's another good option to turn off to save energy when using your dishwasher.
