Automatically log in as a user on windows vista

You can set up Vista so that when you turn your computer on it automatically logs you in. If you think there's little chance of others having access to your computer this speeds up the boot process.

To set your machine up for automatic logins do the following:

1) Click the Start button and type netplwiz in the search box. This should open the Advanced User Accounts menu.

2) If you aren't already there, click on the Users tab.

3) Highlight the account/user you want to automatically login as, and then uncheck must enter a username and password to use this computer.

4) Click on Apply. You'll then need to enter the password for this account/user.

5) Click Ok as needed to finish and save your changes.

Next time you boot up your computer you'll automatically login as the selected account/user.
