Keep your dog occupied with a cheese bone

You can buy cow leg bones at the supermarket. The first time you give one of these to your dog (preferably outside) he will patiently lick all the marrow out of the bone. After that you can fill the hollowed-out bone with cheese and keep your dog occupied for 5-30 minutes depending on how easy it is lick the cheese out. Be warned though, this process will leave a little stain on your carpet.
