Reduce heartburn without drugs
Avoid overeating or eating chocolate and peppermint late at night. If you've been waking up in the middle of the night with heartburn, try sleeping on your left side. The stomach is asymmetrical and sleeping on your left side keeps the troublesome connection with your esophagus as high as possible. Also, ginger root is a natural stomach acid reducer, but it does pack a punch.
