If your blackberry is acting weird, one thing you may want to consider doing is running the hidden self-test that exists on most newer blackberry models. The blackberry self-test will test your trackball, keyboard, audio, bluetooth, headset, screen, speakers, and more.

To run the self-test select Options from the home screen and then select Status. On the Status screen type in the word test and then from the menu on the Device Self Test Application screen, select Start. The self-test will begin and you'll get the results that tell you if there are any problems with your device.
