Storing spicesTired of huge shelf full of spices where you can never find the spice you want? I found a much better way to store my spices so that they take up less space and they are easier to find.
What you do is you store each spice in a zip-loc bag. This makes it easy to get the spice out and it seals air out from the spice to keep it fresh. I like to use the wide, but not deep bags. You then use sticky notes to label the spice and put the sticky note on the top part of the bag so that the note sticks out over the bag. You then get a tupperware tub and store the bags all lined up. When you're done it's like a filing cabinet - each bag is a file and the sticky note is like the tab. This makes it really easy to find any spice (assuming you alphabetize) and it greatly reduces the amount space that your spices take up in your cabinets.
