Please... no burning cars in the dry grass!

People, please, if your car catches fire, DO NOT pull off onto the side of the road into the dry grass. Guess what? When you do, you start an entirely new fire, one that is much harder to put out.

You might think that nobody would be daft enough to do something like this. I can tell you from experience, you'd be very wrong.

Even if your car is not on fire, do not pull over onto high grass or piles of leaves: the heat from the catalytic converter surely will start a fire, even in spite of the heat shields on it. A poorly tuned car running a rich fuel mixture can cause the convert to glow red hot even after a short drive.
