Screen sharing in Leopard
In Leopard on the Mac there is a new application that allows you to share your screen with other Mac users. The screen sharing application is part of iChat, but you can run it as a stand-alone application. But first you have to find it because it is not in the "usual" Applications folder.
Open a Finder window and go to root directory on your Mac hard drive, typically this is the first folder at the very top of the left pane in the Finder window. Once there go to: System > Library > CoreServices and you'll then find the application called Screen Sharing.
The use of the Screen Sharing application varies based on if you are trying to share your screen or see the screen of another user.
To share your screen you don't start the Screen Sharing application. Instead you go to System Preferences > Sharing. There will be an entry called Screen Sharing. If you check the box next to this it will turn on Screen Sharing for your computer and it will tell you the address that other users can use to access your screen. There are also settings (available with the Computer Settings... button) which allow you to limit access to your screen.
Turning on Screen Sharing in System Preferences
Once you have Screen Sharing turned on, it'll tell you the address that users can enter to get access to your screen. When you start the Screen Sharing application it asks for a Host. This address shown in system preferences is the address to be entered as the Host. Once this address is entered and the host computer confirms that access is allowed, you can easily share your screen
