Brainstorm and write all the things you like in a story. Then come up with a plot to your story and use your brainstorming ideas to help come up with a plot. While trying to plot your story, imagine a story that fits your liking so you know what to add to the plot to come up with a good story. Then create characters for your story. Answer these questions to come up with good characters: What are your characters like? Are they smart, good, mean, weird, funny etc....? Then fill in the details between the steps to your plot. A movie can be written this way too.
