word auto completion in Mac applications

Many application on the Mac have a secret. While you are typing, you can press the Esc key to get a list of words that can be used to auto complete the word you are entering. Programmers having been using auto completion for years in their IDEs, and it's a great improvement to efficiency. Now Mac users have this same sweet feature.

The only problem with it is that not *all* applications support it. Most Microsoft apps don't, and most browsers don't either. It is mainly supported by Cocoa apps, which includes most of the built-in software on the Mac; apps like TextEdit, Mail, and Safari.
