New tab behavior in Firefox
When you open a new tab in Firefox, it's empty. Chances are, an empty tab is not what you typically want. It loads quick and all, but chances are you have something else in mind eventually.
The NewTabURL extension for Firefox gives you the ability to customize what happens when you open a new tab. You can choose a default page like blank, your home page, the current page, or a specific URL. But the really cool thing is that you can set different behavior to occur when a URL is on the clipboard.
Even if you like opening tabs as blank, this plug-in gives you the ability to select the location bar once the new tab is open. So if you are going to start entering an address, it saves you a click.
