stuck iPhone
The 2.x version of the iPhone has a nasty bug. Some times the iPhone will get stuck in a state where it hangs when showing the Apple logo during the boot process. For me this only happens when I'm updating an application and during the process the iPhone decides that it needs to reboot... and then it gets stuck. Doesn't matter how long you let it sit there, the iPhone never comes back.
If this happens to you, the only fix for this problem is to do a complete restore of your phone. To do this you hold down the Home button on your iPhone then put it in the dock, and wait. When the screen shows something, you can release the Home button. Your iPhone will then go through the restore process. Leave and it go somewhere else, it can take several hours. I know as I've had to do this many times.
