Hiding recent items in Vista

Vista stores your recent items (applications, documents, etc) directly on the Start menu. I really don't like having this there. Yeah, it's convenient and all, but it provides a little too much insight into what you've been doing lately for my taste. Ask yourself, if someone else uses my computer, are they going to be surprised at the amount of non work-related stuff they see there? If the answer is yes, you might want to get rid of these like I did.

It's simple to get rid of the Recent Items in the Start menu. Right click on the Start menu and select "Properties" from the menu that gets shown. Uncheck the box next to "Store and display a list of recently open files" and then click "OK".

That's all there is to it! Now you can mess around at work and the evidence is not a single click away
