Shortcut to mute sound in Ubuntu

Ubuntu has no keyboard shortcut to mute the sound. But you can create one by going to System > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts. Once there, find the Sound section and expand it by clicking on it. Then select the Volume mute entry. Once you click on this entry, you can then select the keyboard shortcut that will be used to mute the sound on your system.
