Creating iPhone icons
When a user saves a website to their springboard on the iPhone or iPod Touch using the "Add to Home Screen" command, the icon on the springboard is a thumbnail of the web page. For most web pages, this isn't the most appealing icon to have on a user's springboard. If you want to make your iPhone users happy, you can create a 57 x 57 PNG image and save it as "apple-touch-icon.png" in your root directory. Much like the favicon.ico image, if the iPhone sees this image available, it will use it as the image shown on the springboard when the website is saved. This gives you a lot better control over how your site looks on users sringboards.
