Typing periods on the iPhone

For the 2.0 version of the iPhone and the iPod touch, it's a lot easier to type periods at the ends of sentences. Just tap the space bar twice. It'll insert a period, add a space, and hit the shift key so that the next letter typed is capitalized. This saves a lot of typing!
