Test your ISP for bandwidth interference

There's been a lot of stories in the new and on the net lately about various ISPs that have been interfering with user's network traffic based on the type of traffic. The most common type of traffic that get targeted are torrent streams, and VOIP phone traffic. While ISPs try to keep this practice quiet since it violates net neutrality, they seem to be getting busted more frequently.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has released a software tool that you can use to test if your ISP is interfering with your network traffic. With this tool, it'll be possible for everyone to test their network traffic for interference. You can be sure the guilty ISPs will not be happy to have their shady practices brought into the light.

If you think your network traffic is being interfered with, or you are just curious you can download their software and run it. It's free and open sourced.
