Don't till your garden

Many people till their garden without realizing that the tilling itself can be a bad thing. You are probably better of not tilling your garden. Here's why.

1: Tilling causes soil compaction. Yes, the tilled soil is not compacted, but the soil under the tilled section gets more compacted than it would otherwise, and this will affect the ability of plants to grow roots into this area.

2: Till will result in increased weeds.

3: Tilling can negatively affect earthworms and useful critters in the soil.

4: It doesn't help your plants grow, and it's extra work for you. Need more be said?
