Getting blood stains out of clothes

If the clothes are washable (not dry clean only), soak the stain in cold water. The stain should disappear after 30-60 minutes. If the stain remains, add a teaspoon of meat tenderizer to the water and wait another 30 minutes.

Two other things that can help are: 1) Soak the stain as quickly as possible. Once it sets, it is harder to get out. 2) Apply hydrogen peroxide to the stain. This will act like a bleach on some materials, so test it in an out of the way area first.
