Update your Wii

Just like any other computer you have, your Wii will occasionally need to have it's software updated. The updated can fix problems on your Wii and can also be used to add new features to your Wii. Here are the steps to take to update the system software on your Wii.

+ From the main menu, click on the Wii button in the lower left corner of the screen. When you hover over it, it'll say Wii Options.

+ Click on the Wii Settings option

+ This will bring up a screen called "Wii System Settings 1". Click on the right arrow icon to get to the second screen and then click the right arrow again to finally get to the third screen which is called "Wii System Settings 3".

+ Click on the "Wii System Update" button. You'll be asked to confirm that you really want to do this. Once you confirm, the update will happen.

It seems obvious, but before you can update your Wii system, you'll need to make sure you are connected to the internet so that the updates can be downloaded.
