Searching iPhone contacts

The 2.0 version of the iPhone allows you to search contacts directly. Here are some tips to help you search contacts more effectively.

1 - The search field is at the top of the list of contacts and once you scroll down you will no longer see the search field. To get back to it quickly, tap the status bar (where it shows the signal strength and the like) to get back to the top of the page. Same as you do to get back to the top of a web page in Safari.

2 - You can search for both the first and last name at the same time by putting a space between two pieces of text. For example, if you search for "Jo D" it will return all contacts who's first name starts with "Jo" and their last name starts with "D", *or* contacts who's last name starts with "Jo" and their first name starts with "D". You can really find a contact quickly by just type a couple letters using this trick.
