Keeping track of the cost of the war in Iraq

Just like there used to be a ticket that kept track of the national debt (I guess there probably is a new one of these somewhere), there's a ticker that keeps track of the cost of the war in Iraq.

In a nice twist, they allow you to select your community (state/county) to see the cost for your area. The also provide some interesting comparisons concerning the other types of services that amount of money would provide.

great site. its amazing how much we are willing to spend for killing people, but we're so frugal and "thoughtful" when it comes to funding for education or other posiive institutions......too many to name. Thanks.
