Get rid of musty smells

To get rid of musty smells in the basement, attic, closet, or any other place that doesn't see a lot of traffic, try putting a container of cat litter in the room. The musty smell is often due to dampness, and cat litter absorbs moisture even out of the air and neutralizes any smells. You have to change it every month or so.
