When you buy music directly on your iPhone, you want to make sure you transfer back to your computer so that if your iPhone dies or gets lost, at least you still have your music. To do this, connect your iPhone with iTunes open. Then right-click on your iPhone from the Devices section of iTunes and select "Transfer Purchases" from the menu that appears. This will transfer all of your purchased music over to your computer.
