How to tell when a planed board is flat
When you are planing boards with a thickness planer, it can be hard to tell when the entire surface of the board is flat. So here's a trick to help with that.
Before you begin planing the board, take a piece of chalk and scribble over the entire face of the board. Once all the chalk is gone, you'll know that you have planed the entire surface of the board.
