Don't rely on caller ID to identify a caller
As mentioned in a previous tip (http://www.tipstrs.com/tip/407/Fake-out-caller-ID), Spoofcard can be used to fake out caller ID systems. This opens up the possibility of phising attacks over the phone. For example, with this system, someone could call you and make it look like the call is coming from your credit card company or bank.
Never give out confidential information over the phone to someone just because they claim to be from some place with which you do business, even when the caller ID says this is who they are. Always demand some sort of verification, such as an account number, from them first.
