cleaning your microwave
Here's an easy way to clean your microwave that leaves it clean and smelling fresh without having to scrub.
Get a microwave-safe bowl and put in one cup of water. Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into the water in the bowl. Place the bowl of water in the microwave, and cook it on high for 5 minutes or so - vary the length depending on your microwave, but you want the water boiling in the microwave for several minutes so that steam is condensing on the walls of the microwave.
Remove the bowl from the microwave. Be very careful here as the bowl and the water will be bowling hot.
Once the bowl is out, you can wipe the walls of the microwave and the baked-on gunk will come right off. You'll be left with a clean, lemony-fresh smelling microwave with very little effort.
