Showing all hidden files in Vista

In Vista as with other versions of Windows, you can elect to show hidden files in the windows explorer. But in Vista there are some files that are still not shown even if you select this option. If you want to see *all* of the hidden files in Vista, there is a registry edit change you can make so that every single file will be shown.

From the registry editor application, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER + Software + Microsoft + Windows + CurrentVersion + Explorer + Advanced. When you get there, look in the right side of the registry editor for a field called SuperHidden. Double click on it and change the value to 1.

You have to reboot for this change to take effect. Once you do, you will then see all of the hidden files in Windows Vista.
