Address the golf ball in a consistent manner to get better shots
When making a golf shot, most people walk up to the ball, plant their feet, and then adjust their body position to get the club into position to hit the ball. This is bad. If you want better, and more consistent shots, you should be reversing this process.
When you come up to the ball, place your club in a neutral position (so that the bottom of the club is flat on the ground) with the club face behind the ball as you would like to hit it. Once this is done, the club will be in the proper position for the correct shot. Only now should you position your feet and body for the shot.
If you do this every time you take a shot, you will hit the ball better and more consistently.
