Regular or Goofy

Sports like surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding all require you to know if you are regular or goofy. This refers to which foot you place forward on the board. Regular refers to the left foot going forward, and goofy refers to your right foot going forward. If you are not sure if you are regular or goofy, here's a tip on how to find out: have someone push you from behind when you are not expecting it. The foot you put forward to stop yourself is the foot that should go forward on the board. So if your right foot goes out, you are goofy. If your left foot goes out, you are regular.
