Track Your Activities To Find More Balance
If your "To Do" list is overwhelming then it is a good time to decide what you really need to do, what you can delegate and what you can release. For a week or two, write down every activity from your day both work and your personal. Spend some time going over your list. Cross off completely unnecessary activities that don't enrich your life or career. Could that extra twenty minutes you spend everyday at the local coffee joint be replaced with a coffeemaker at home that can be setup to brew automatically in the morning? Next, identify what tasks can be done by someone else. Delegate to family members what you can or hire someone locally to run errands for you. Once these decisions are made purchase a planner that you will use every day to track your essential activities and make sure you open the planner every morning!
