Google maps is moving into the space previously only resided in by Zillow... they are starting to show real estate prices in Google Maps. But unlike Zillow where they show the information for all houses in the area, Google Maps is showing the prices of homes for sale in a given area. If you are looking to buy a place, and you know the neighborhood you want to be in, looking at this information in Google Maps is a lot better and quicker than looking on some lame real estate web site.

To see this information, go to your desired location in Google Maps. Up near the search bar, you'll see a link that says "Show search options". Click on it. Once you do, a pull down menu with the text "Restrict results to:" will be shown. If you select this menu, one of the options in there is "Real Estate". Select it and Google will show all of the houses for sale on the map you are looking at.
