Relief for teething puppies

If you puppy is teething, get some old wash clothes, get them damp, then put them in the freezer until frozen. You can give you puppy a frozen wash cloth to chew on to help relieve the teething pain. The cold helps reduce the pain and the cloth gives them something to chew on that won't be missed.

I don't have a dog, but I have had several babies. I've used this technique for them and it's worked well. And the babies don't chew up the washcloths either.

what works really great for puppies is to add chicken or beef broth then freeze, i cut up a pair of old jeans and cut into strips and ties into a knot and used so that I always had one frozen and waiting. You should supervise when giving them anything they can tear apart and swallow - esp. rawhide as it gets stuck in the air path quickly (Loree)
