Get the volume mixer in the Vista Taskbar

If you want to get the volume mixer icon back in your Vista taskbar, here's how to do it. First, right click on the taskbar and select Properties from the menu that is shown. This will bring up the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window. Click on the Notification Area tab. In the section labeled System icons, there is a checkbox next to Volume. If you click that checkbox and then click the Apply button you will get the volume mixer back in your taskbar.
