Vista: map a networked driveMapping a networked drive in Vista isn't hard. But it's not something you do every day and it's not really intuitive so every time I have to map a networked drive, it always takes a little poking around to remember how to do it. To aid my memory, here are the steps to map a networked drive in Vista.
1) Click on the "Computer" shortcut on the desktop. 2) In the Window this brings up, there will be a "Map Network drive" button in the tool bar (things get easier now). You will obviously want to click on this button. 3) In the dialog that opens, enter the preferred letter for the drive and enter the location of the networked drive to be mapped. Click "Finish" and the networked drive will be mapped to the letter you assigned it. It's all very easy once you find the location of the "Map networked drive" button.
