Improve your BBQ sauce

If you are barbecuing, here's a trick I use that improves every BBQ sauce I try it with. Mix in apricot preserves with the BBQ sauce. Don't be cheap, get good apricot preserves. I find that somewhere in the range of 2 parts BBQ sauce to 1 part apricot preserves works best. It really improves the flavor of any sauce, and the apricots make a great contrast with the spiciness of the sauce. I know it sounds a little odd at first read. But try it. You'll thank me later.
