Curing three-putt greens
Three-putt greens usually are the result of a bad first putt, often one that is long.
On long putts, concentrate on hitting the correct distance more than the correct direction. Aim for a circle about three feet around the hole. You should just be trying to set yourself up for an easy second shot. Keep your head down and focus on making good contact with the correct amount of force, don't worry about lining up the shot.
Be especially careful on downhill putts. These can be killers if they get away from you.
