How to catch more fish on jigs

Most people over work jigs when fishing in current. Here are a few tips that will get you more strikes.
1. Cast up current so that the current carries your jig towards you.
2. Use your reel to wind up the slack line. Do not use it to add action to the jig.
3. Use your rod tip to impart any action you want the jig to have.
4. Start out with little or no action. Bounce the rhe river/bay bottom if you can.
5 Slowly fish higher and higher in the water column untill you start getting bit.
6. Remember make sure that you don't change what you are doing once you get bit. A lot of folks have a tendency to speed up when they get excited.
