Make your own baby toys

Babies love rattles. But you don't need to spend money to get your baby a rattle. You can make your own rattles by putting things like rice, uncooked beans, marbles, and other hard materials into child-proof medicine bottles. Make a couple of these rattles using different materials inside so that you get different songs. It'll keep your baby fascinated with the rattles if they make different noises.

Instead of medicine bottles, plastic easter eggs sealed with epoxy work well too, and I think are a lot cuter.
