Opening Windows Explorer Collapsed
Particularly, when working remotely, it is very annoying to open Microsoft Windows Explorer to find that the left-hand pane has already expanded a default folder which is invariably not the one you want to explore! I haven't come across anyone who can tell me where this default condition is set, but i discovered to my delight that holding down the Windows Key (usually on the left of the SPACE bar) and tapping the letter E, opens WE with all folders COLLAPSED.
