Customize the Mac login screen

If you've ever wanted to customize the login screen on your Mac, you may have read some posts that describe ways to do bits and pieces of the screen. It usually involves some terminal commands, swapping of images, and other "non-standard" things on your Mac. It makes customization of the login screen a pretty daunting task.

For the non-hacker, there's now a much easier way to customize the login screen on your Mac. It's called Visage Login, and you can find it here http://keakaj.com/visagelogin.html. It's a regular Mac application, and it allows you to customize everything (the images, text messages, Acceptable Use Policy and host information displayed, and more) on the login screen. It also keeps track of past configurations, so you can always easily put things back to the way they were.

If you are looking for an easy way to customize the login screen on your Mac, this is it. It works with both OS X Tiger and Leopard.
