One of the really bad design decisions they made in Firefox 3 is to move the Home button into the Bookmarks bar. Yeah, I understand that technically the Home button is a bookmark. But lots of people, like me, don't like using the bookmark bar since it takes up space, but we still want a Home button. Luckily, Firefox 3 is still completely customizable, so you can get the Home button back. So if you are wondering where your Home button went, that's the story and here's how to get your Home button back.

- Right-click on the Navigation bar (the one that used to have the Home button in it) and select the Bookmarks Toolbar entry to temporarily show the bookmarks toolbar.

- Right-click on the Navigation bar again, and this time select Customize....

- While the Customize panel is shown, you can then click on the Home button in the bookmarks toolbar and drag it to the desired location in the Navigation toolbar.

- Click the Done button in the customization panel.

- Right click on the navigation toolbar and select Bookmarks Toolbar so that the bookmarks toolbar is no longer shown.

After that, you'll have things back to normal with your Home button being shown even if you don't use the Bookmarks Toolbar.
