Use glass jars for workshop storage
Recycling is good, but reuse is better. A great use for used glass jars is for storage of nuts, bolts, nails, and screws in the workshop. You can store the jars on a shelf. Or you can nail the lids of the jars onto the bottom of a shelf and then snap the jars into their lids. This really increases your storage capability of these small pieces in the workshop.
One important point when storing nuts, bolts, nails, and screws in glass jars is to not fill the jar too high. If you fill up the jars, it can be hard to get out the piece you need. I never fill more than a one or two. It takes a lot more jars this way, but it makes it much easier to get things out. Also, since I have so many jars, I can store very similar pieces in each jar. That makes it much easier to find what it is I am looking for.
