Dishwasher rinse alternative

If you need to use rinse in your dishwasher to keep your dishes from coming out with spots, a cheap alternative is vinegar. It works really well as a rinse agent in the dishwasher, and it's loads cheaper than commercial products sold for this purpose and it's a lot safer to keep around the house/kitchen if you have kids.
