Fedora update kills log rolling
I noticed that after updating Fedora with the latest patches, my Apache web logs stopped rolling nightly as they should have. The rolling of logs is controlled by a cron job. I also noticed that other cron jobs I had running on my server were not running. The system claimed that the cron daemon was up and running, but jobs were not getting run as they should.
Ultimately, I rebooted my server and this took care of the problem as the cron daemon can back up correctly. So if you notice that your logs are not rolling after updating Fedora, try rebooting your system. It worked for me.
