Fix a loose zipper

If you have a zipper that is so loose that it won't stay zipped, here's a trick to help the zipper stay closed. Just spray the zipper teeth with hair spray, being careful not to get any spray on the fabric of the material containing the zipper. The hairspray will make the teeth stickier, and it will keep your loose zipper from opening up at inopportune times.

This is a brilliant tip - it really works! I've also now used that stuff you can spray on tights to stop the ladder running. I've read that painting clear nail varnish on the teeth can help too - anything to give a bit more grip /resistance on the teeth.
